Hi Don, Yes I am using a cheap clone and that is why it is out of date. But I had no problem with other coding though. Anyway I will give it a try tonight.

Agentthumb: Hello
I think that you are referring to Byte 7 (see below). Bit 0 of this byte was set on my car from new and I had always assumed that this is the factory setting if the car is fitted with Climatronic air-conditioner. Not sure why I made this assumption - I could be entirely wrong given that you also have a 103TSI! Anyway, if I press the set-up button on the air conditioner knob (the bottom half of the central round knob), I get the option to choose three profiles. Could be related to this facility?
Cheers
Don

Potentially! I'll try it again tonight and have a look. They must have taken it out for MY15.
What do the profiles actually do?
Ps. It sounds like I should do a scan of my car and send it to you :)

Hey Don, enabled Auto HVAC byte 7, bit 0 tonight, turned the car off and back on again. I'm not getting the profile settings under the aircon set up menu. Still not sure what it is.
I'm also generating an adaptation channel DB, will email it to you when it's done.
Also, under "44 - Steering Assist" adaptation channel: Activation of pwr steering asst without engine running, has anyone tried this?
Hi Don,
I was going through the VCDS tweak - Add brake function to inner tail lights to double check the coding I have in my car against the tweet new setting in post #454.
My car has new settings for channels (8),(9),(10) both sides as per your post. But channel (11)-dimming direction cd for both left and right side has options minimum and maximum only. I do not have the option "always". Set value is maximum. However when I apply brake both inner and outer comes on.
MRG_AU: Hi and thanks for the post.
You are the first person to have identified my deliberate mistake!! Seriously, I'm mortified at making such a blatant and inexcusable cock-up of such a simple matter - but my table was in error. My sincerest apology for the confusion!
Anyway, I have now fixed the table - thanks for finding the error. From what you have said in your post, it sounds like the tweak was factory installed on your car from new
Again my apology - I promise to try harder in future!
Cheers
Don
PS: You are indeed correct, the only Leuchte channel that allows settings such as always (and Only_if_closed) is the one in parenthesis (7). This channel has the tell-tale descriptor HD in its title, which stands for HeckDeckel (or "Rear Lid" in English). So it's this single channel in the Leuchte-set that determines what happens to the lamp when the hatch is opened (i.e. for the functions that are set in the Alpha-pair A and B).
