I have the new polo but asking here because no Polo VCDS thread and the polo reverse camera is the flippy VW badge kind like the golf so I suspect it's similar?
On our Octavia RS we can enable the reverse camera while not in reverse by hitting the parking sensor button on the console. It's really handy for making sure the rear of the car is juuuuust inside the garage closing area to maximise the space in the front of the car (small garage!).
2018 Polo seems to have a button to turn on the camera but it's always greyed out. Only way is to physically place the gearbox in reverse. Does the Golf have the same functionality as the Polo and therefore maybe a code I could change? I'd really like to allow the RVC to be turned on at will for parking purposes.
hi all,
its me again.
i just recently did a swap of my radio.
Before.
Attachment 42618
After.
Attachment 42619
After i am done. The unit is able to playback SD card, link to blue tooth and so on.
What happened is that I lost the Driving school mode and also lost the options to set my lights and some settings under opening and closing.
Under the Lights settings, i only have the instrument cluster brightness settings.
I can no longer set how long my coming home and leaving home time.
I can no longer set if I want my DRL to stay on or off.
I too lost some extra settings under opening and closing.
I can no longer set the closing during rain options.
Any idea on why is that so and some pointers would be helpful.
Wow, I can't believe this is my first post here as I'm quite active on other MK7, TDI, Subaru and BMW forums. Hi all! I could use an assist here. My 2015 Golf TDI failed the Virginia state inspection b/c the fog lights must not be active when high beams are on. :-( I have tried to ensure that all the settings are back to the "stock state", but the fogs still remain on when I turn on the high beams. Anything that you see that I'm missing? ANywhere else to check? I have 14 days to figure this out... Thank you!

^^^ Bummer about the inspection, but you will need to look through the values for ALL the adaptation channel settings (by which I mean the settings for the complete 19 x adaptation channels) in the Leuchte-sets for the fog-lights. Look for the leuchte-commands in my instructions. If you find them, simply change the channel value to "not active"
