Install the APR Stage 1 trial and have her drive the car
Remove the trial or let it expire (6 hours)
Acceleration will be reduced (from Stage 1)


It's just a case of her being used to one car and not driving the Golf much. If she drove it exclusively for 3 weeks she'd be fine.
