Ok Transporter ... you can delete this after 10 minutes.
It's the same as the price of the fuel, food, houses and so on, you just can't have a one global price.

Nothing is stopping you from buying from the overseas.
But, I expect that if you import the APR product to AU, you wouldn't get any technical support here. Does it sound fair to you?

Without knowing the full technical ins and outs of the Tig, would it make a difference having left-hand drive versus right-hand drive? I can imagine a big fat steering column might change the way some bits fit together. 'Bits' being the technical term.

Before I get flamed, my first car was an LJ Torana with a 202 bored to 208, lumpy cam and Holley 350 carb with a 5 speed supra box. My brain still thinks that way... modern cars have lots of 'bits'

    $2100 is a lot of difference .....

I do understand why there is a cost difference .... GST, customs, shipping & profit margin.

I'm still disappointed though as the $ is at parity and APR Oz does not pay full retail for APR USA products ....

Bringing it in yourself from the USA would still have you pay for GST, customs & shipping without as Transporter said, local support ... the question is .... how much is that worth to each person ..... a judgement call everybody has to make for themselves ....

It's not just support you won't be getting it's software as well.

We're only talking software (at best) with Stage 1.

So I'd say the $1,100 difference is akin to what a prostitute with tonsillitus would be screaming out (at a client insisting on oral sex).

    That is:
    A bit hard to swallow!
