Anyone heard of "Custom Code" ?

    Hi All,

Has anyone heard of Custom Code? They are a UK outfit that design reflash software to rival APR etc...

    Would like to know opinions...

Gavin is a rep in Australia.
I haven't heard anything bad about them.

I met Gavin today actually, and he is a nice guy.

I am just after feedback re the software itself. I do believe Gavin, but I just like to get others veiws also.

How would you all compare the finished product compared to APR???

I had my Polo GTI done with the Custom Code reflash done by JimmyMac just over 12 months ago. I have done around 30,000k's since then with no dramas including one (very hot) track afternoon at Queensland Raceway. The reflash transformed the car. If I had any niggle it would be that the turbo comes on a little too quickly in first gear so even with the clutch out it is hard not to get wheel spin even on dry bitumen. That same surge in 3rd, 4th and 5th is fabulous though. Mind you if I had some money to improve the suspension it would probably make a big difference.

Got the Bora V6 4mo flashed by Gavin over 1 yr ago, maybe 2 yrs now... he made no super promises about the upgrade, kept it real, and I am more than happy given its NA ...

More than happy to recommend dealing with Gav!

Custom Code are definitely on the cutting edge of things, for instance they are the only tune to offer a reliable particle filter delete for the diesels, something many have tried, but thus far have failed. That in itself speaks volumes in my books, and shows these guys do actually produce their own tunes. I'd highly recommend them, and my dealings and million questions to Gav have been met with good humor and a lot of effort to get the answers. I not sure about deleting my DPF, but Gav is just such a stand up guy, the product so damn good, well it plays on my mind!

    Highly recommended!
