    Cruise Control Not working

My MK3 GL has cruise control, it worked for a long tine, now it doesnt. I cant seem to find anything on the web about it, but plenty on the MK4's. Anyone have any info on it. I have pieced together that therer is some type of vacuum system?????

There is an electric vacuum pump in the front quarter panel behind the washer bottle. It runs from there into the chasis rail and into the car.

When mine was busted I could heard the relay clicking as I would have expected to start and stop the thing (although it didn't work). In my case I tracked it down to a leak in the line where it entered the chasis rail (so blind luck that I could get at it).

Theoretically it's going to be one of three things, the pump (which is easy to replace), the lines (which are harder) or the electrics... which I'd flat out leave to the experts.

A search in here under cruise control will help, there are a few bits on it.
One good one is a link to vortex, here, which discuses the electrics.
