Thanks, Don.
I will do the tweak when I get my car back. VW have reset everything and I need to redo every single one now -_- haha.

Just picked up my new MkVII GTI, love the car, can't wait till I finish running it in :)
Would be great to hear from anybody with VCDS in Melbourne area (pref. nth or western suburbs but happy to travel further) who can do a few tweaks for me such as seatbelt warning disable, TMC enable, alarm chirp enable & any others you might recommend .... of course more than happy to pay the going rate, beer/cider 6-pack whatever :)
I thought it was a factory feature...
Have you done the all the way down and all the way up thing on each window?
Well that was strange. I have it working now but I needed to enable it as per page 73 of the manual ... I don't remember disabling it  but then again I am getting old :P
Don't worry about me Eaglehawk, I might be going senile
Anyway I'd still like to do a few other tweaks (eg. disable seat belt warning, enable TMC, enable alarm chirp) so as per a few posts up, if you're in Melbourne with VCDS and wouldn't mind helping, would be great to hear from you :)
Pepita: hi and congratulations on your new car - Good choice!
Are you sure that you don't already have TMC enabled? I had understood from others here that our very good friends at VW Australia had decided to implement this facility in later model mk7s (i.e. beyond the my 13 model and early release my14 models). Have you tried enabling TP and RDS in your radio set-up menu first. Then wait a while and then press the "Traffic" button.
I too have activated everything on my MY15 GTI, delivered late August this year. Unfortunately, the traffic warnings do not work without a recode of some sort. The dealer confirmed to me that VW Australia say that the traffic warnings are not enabled in Australia. Frustrating....
