Did you order the coolant sensor clip with the sensor itself?

Errrm, nope, didn't know I needed to. Do the clips break easily then?

You should be getting the green coloured coolant sensor (the black one is now considered obsolete).

ECS only sell the green ones, went for the cheaper generic brand rather than OEM though.

There is a rubber O ring as well.

Should only need the o-ring and clip if the existing ones are no good. Given the potential age of the stuff, they may be worth having.

That said, I think the sensor comes with an o-ring anyway.

For what it's worth, the cheaper generic one you've ordered is probably exactly the same as the genuine one other than a VW/Audi stamp on it - ECS's non-genuine parts are mostly OEM/OES (Original Equipment Manufacturer/Supplier).

Yes it does come with the o-ring but not the clip, hopefully the clip I have will be ok, will just have to be very careful removing it.
