help with front headlight globes please

    Hey lads,
my globes in my 02 V5 bora are pretty average so not knowing what size there are already i bought some 75/70W h4's. Is there much... if any difference to the stock globes? I was going to buy brand new headlights for it but decided shouldn't spend much money when traveling to germany in a months time!!!! Cant wait!! But back to the globes i would love some help on the difference from stocks to the ones i bought. May even be a waste of money? Ahh well, looking forward to hearing some information!
    Thanks heaps, Nick

I don't know how much those lights will differ from the stock ones, im not even sure how much the Wattage of the bulb changes the colour of the lights. I have these installed on my 02 V5 (Props for your car btw )

They make a white light, not so yellow, but not blinding like HID lights. They cost me $40 from Autobarn, I'd buy them again for sure.

I had 75W globes in my liberty B4 (stock are 55W) once upon a time and the connectors that the globe plugs into melted and almost burned the car. Maybe you should look for the stock wattage globes

I changed the globes in my 01 4-Mo to Philips Extreme and they made a huge difference to the amount of long rnage lighting. Standard 55w...very cheap from powerbulbs uk. Did the same for my 07 Jetta and it was appreciably better too

Pretty good option for standard wattage. No risk of burning connectors/wires etc.

haha you wouldn't but the 75/70W h4's were pathetic and thats being nice, im guessing it was the brand of the globes i suppose "you get what you pay for" i only paid 15 bucks or something near that from the uk. They were without lying probably half the strength of the basic stock globes. anyway i'll change them back to the stocks but in the mean while you guy suggest the Philips Xtreme these are the ones right?

Suggest you buy from powerbulbs. Free shipping and free pair of blinker globes as well. Never had any problems with their service

Has anyone here done a side by side comparison between the Phillips H4 X-Treme Vision and the Osram H4 Night Breaker Plus??

Osram's can be had for about $25 delivered, and Phillips' are about $45 delivered
