Now for a real rookie question, when the tires wear, can I swap the first two dead ones at one end to 235/45(or 50)/18 if needed to get back to correct original tyre diameter? Then do the other end when they wear. Or will this confuse the hell out of the computer or bind up shafts or something?
I'd say that rim fitment will be perfect, though the tyre size is going to be too small and your speedo will be a long way out. Just be careful as the legal size is on the tyre placard inside your fuel filler flap. For an 18" rim it's 235/50 R18.

You can go one tyre size either way but going 2 sizes is not legal in most states. It can also cause problems for your insurance so I'd recommend factoring in changing the tyres if you buy the wheels. It's not worth the risk.

Otherwise run your stock wheels a little longer (as long as you have enough legal tread) until you can afford new rubber and then put the new rims/tyres on your car.

Yeah I'll just get new tread from the get go and try sell the tires that come with them.
I think 50 is closer to stock(tough larger), not sure if I should go 45 or 50. Can anyone tell me is 45 silly low for pot holes, dirt roads/light 4WDing and medium strip U turns? Even 50 is low I know. Also would people rather gear down or up with their Tigs? I know there's not much in it, but still.
