Hi all.
Have been reading this forum for a while now and the advise of most people has been well recieved.
I am on my second VW, and would like to share my experiences with the rest of the members.
2006 Caddy Life TDi
2012 Tiguan 155 TSi
The Caddy was my first VW and I still love it and use it for most things involving getting my hands dirty.
But the Tiguan, is a few classes above.
Originally wanted a Multivan to replace the Caddy, but decided to keep it and get a Golf like car
that can handle the Sydney "beautifull" roads (not) with a bit more ease and comfort.
The Tiguan was the logical option.
Almost fully optioned I've only done 150km on it and although too early to tell, I know I am going to love this car.
Have had and still own a variety of cars from a 91 RX7 to a 2000 TS50 and the usual mix of Camrys and Falcons and Commodores
as well as driven the latest X3 that my best mate drives and 4x4 like Navara and boring Hilux.
Can comfortably say that the Tiguan is a great car for the money. Ok with all the options it becomes a bit expensive
but it has that certain something that many cars don't have.
Will keep trying to update my experiences with it and also the long standing debate between petrol and diesel as
I now own both types.
Good to see another enthuisastic Tig owner.
Mine has served me well so far however if you are worried about road quality i wouldn't go to 19" wheels as i have done, i would stick with 17 or 18 as a maximum.
Yes welcome aboard.
so what options did you get?
Tiguan MY12 118TSI, white, no frills..... Had ANS810 ... Note the HAD ..... Now got RCD510 supplemented by 7" Android TomTom mounted on a HoldMyPhone .... Upgraded speakers Vibe BlackAir front splits and MBQuartz 12" ported sub driven from Infinity Reference 5350a amp .... oh and added fun
Thanks for the welcome.
Trying to figure out how to add the signature bit at the bottom of the threads and also upload pictures.

Black Pearl
Panoramic Sunroof
Bi-Xenons
Park Assist
Leather
Active Chassis Control
VW Towbar
Didn't get any accessories at the time of sale as you can get them quite a bit cheaper from the service department without
the sales markup at time of purchase.
Next upgrade will be the APR tune and the RVC.
Also thinking of purchasing the VCDS as it will be worth it with the 2 VWs that I have.
I stayed with the standard 17's mainly for comfort and I am reasonably happy with the look of them.
The ACC also makes a noticable difference in the rougher roads, and I am glad I got it as I like my gadgets.
The cornering lights take a bit to get used to. As soon as you are turning, it lights up the side of the road you are
turning to, and subconsiously I always think there is another car there trying to overtake...
I got 4 black cars and I will never learn just how quickly they get dirty![]()
