Powersteering belt?
I've been noticing recently that there's a high pitched squeal coming from the front of my Tiguan whenever I wind on quite a bit of steering lock (like going around a round-a-bout or turning into my driveway). It's not that loud but is high frequency and noticeable enough. It doesn't appear to be brake related, as it happens when I'm on the power.
Has anybody else had any experience of this? The car is now just over two years old, so I'm thinking a trip to the dealer might be in order.
Thanks for any help.

Hey echo_base,
Sorry to hear....what kms have you done?
What engine / config do you have?
I have a grinding noise on full "round a bout" lock...similar to CV joints...but I reckon it is related to Wheel bearings....

It's a 125TSI Manual. It's done just under 40,000 km.
I think I have a trip to the dealer coming up, which means I'll have to convince them of the problem or reproduce it... Hmmm...
Good luck with that...Its a topic for another post, but I have been going back to my dealer for MONTHS now to get different noises and issues looked at....They do not seem to be able to find them....and have actually said that they think I might be "misinterpreting the issues"
(ie making them up???)
