I am thinking of getting the OEM shades too, I will post the prices if someone else doesn't first!

I'd prefer the OEM jobbies too. I'm one of those people that prefer a more integrated look, and they certainly look like they're meant to be there. They're an absolute joy to fit, too

i did go OEM afterall. nothing fits best. *avoid sox mesh over rear door - get what you pay for.

local VW spare parts shop stock it. part # vw-5N0064363 called sun blind. sold in a pair.

AUD RRP $199 paid trade $149

happy with the result. fits internally, has 5 channel clips to hold it in place (no contact with the glass) so one could lower the window - no restrictions.

Where in sydney can I buy the sades at the cheapest price? $150 for the pair of shades sounds reasonable.
Has anyone bought the back shades (the one goes on the boot window) as well?

    Just ring around!

However, I wouldn't bother with the boot window (if yours is already tinted).
Unless dog in boot is copping sun in face, otherwise see no point to having one.

Alternatively, £54.47 not including shipping from UK dealer online:

We got the side and rear blinds when we ordered our Tig. I think they are quite well designed and fit the windows well.
Had those sox things on my jetta but they just dont last long, i got about 12 months from them before they started to rip etc...
Spewin they dont make the blinds for the jetta.

Think the rear blind was about the same price as the sides.

How does the clips fit? is it double sided tape? or do you need to clip it to the frame or rubber?
I hope it won't damage or leave marks on the car in the long run....?

The clips are held on with tape. Some of ours are coming off after less than a week - dealer obviously didn't clean the paintwork before sticking them on...
