    I'm planning the following ....

EBC Red pads (no fade under even track use)
Cross-drilled rotors (still 312mm so purely for looks through the alloy wheels)
I was considering the corss-drilled rotors for when mine wear down but i have heard that the holes get clogged up with brake dust quite easilyy so if i do upgrade i will probably opnly do slotted rotors.

EBC Red pads are on my list when the pads need replacement.
I believe a VWWatercooled site sponsor sells them.

I found my brakes really grabbed when the car was new but after 6000+K's they fade a bit on hard driving... maybe I will just look at some EBC red pads...

Where ever I could, I always used slotted rotors on our cars, so I will try to get slotted for Tig as soon as it arrives. Current car Forester got slotted rotors when my kids started to drive. The braking characteristic with slotted discs is always the same and the brakes don't fade. Another cheaper brake upgrade would be braided brake hoses, just make sure that your car is street legal and your insurer is OK with that mod.
