7spd DSG was part of the MY11 rollout (post-June 2010).
But no flappy paddle steering wheel, so missed from my Golf GTI.
6spd was just a normal auto.
Hopefully buying a Tig soon so after a bit of info please:
When did the Tiguan's start being fitted with the new 7 spd DSG box?
Also was the 6 spd a DSG or a normal auto?

Out of interest, fuel consumption is better with the DSG - drops from 7.9 l/100k (combined) for my 2008 tiptronic 103TDI to 6.6 l/100k for the current DSG 103TDI.
The manual models dropped from 7.4 to 6.5 over the same period so it looks to me like 0.4 l/100k was due to the transmission and 0.9 due to tuning or other factors. Petrol models had similar differences.
