I'm not an expert on this, in fact, I don't have a Golf and don't have bluetooth right now. But Option 1 is not a Skoda Kit. Option 1 also doesn't say anything about not working with the iPhone. It's just very basic and not really worth $800.

The Skoda Kit, Option 3, is the best option, but it would be more than $800 installed from a VW dealer - $1495 is what Barloworld are charging as per post #23. It works with iPhones too.
The only option which doesn't work wtih iPhone is 4 - the $2k+ VW 'Premium Bluetooth' option.

Camberwell Volkswgen showed me a new bluetooth unit called Fibredyne, I tried it with my blackberry bold and it synched and interacted with all the RNS510 functions perfectly. It costs around $800 fitted. Does anyone know about this unit, apparently it is the same unit fitted by Volkswagen New Zealand.

    Hi Guys,

I had a VW Premium BT fitted.. I asked for the Skoda one. Its made by a company called Volkstronic or something. It is FANTASTIC. Really clear, total intergration and RNS compatibility.

I definitely recommend it! I got it fitted for $1200. Totally worth it!

Re: Summary of Bluetooth Options for RNS510

I have revived the kit from
Poland however , have called a few dealers and am unable to find mounting bracket for the kit.

    Any ideas.

Mounting parts are available from your local VW dealer. See first posts for more information.

The pic shows a Nokia unit, so I think it's the "cheapie" crippled Nokia bluetooth they sell here as the basic kit.
