If it's a factory fit / dealer fit then why wouldn't you just take it back there to get sorted out?
Has anyone had a problem with the Reverse Camera not displating in the RSN510?
Is there an VAGCOM update to correct the problem?

It was factory fit. I discovered it while doing a delivery check. The salesman took it around to the service guys and they have trold me that it is a problem with the code. They have also said that they are waiting for an update from VW.
What I was interested in is if anyone who has recently taken delivery of a new VW that has RSN510 and Reverse Camera fitted or maybe who has installed/updated to the latest code/firmware, have they had the same problem.
Is there an update available that fixes this problem?
I am NOT doubting or having a go at the dealer but there maybe someone out there who knows about this.

Hi,... i've a mate with a Golf 6 GTI with RCD510 and a reverse camera (factory fitted) which was working.
He recently upgraded to a RNS510 and had the same issue as you.. i.e the reverse camera didn't show up on screen on the RNS510.
I took a look at it for him.. and did some VAGCOM check... and yup.. looks like it is indeed a problem with the coding.
I fixed the coding via VAGCOM and voila.. it's working now.
His RNS510 is on firmware 268x.
Cheers!
Thanks for that info hannson.
I have just had word from the dealer that they have found the problem with my GTI. It turns out that there was a short in the camera wiring.
Problem is now fixed.
Still interesting that you were able to fix your friends GTI with a code fix. Must check what firmware version I have.

no worries
glad to hear your dealer is sorting things out for you...
in my friends Mk6 GTI.. what happened was.. he had a RCD510 with the factory fitted camera... he swapped out his RCD510 for a RNS510.. and that camera stopped working....
it turns out there was a VAGCOM coding that we had to perform in order to get it going again (fortunately there were no hassles with wiring)
All's good
Cheers!
