when you used the credit card - were you able to 'move' the bubbles or did they appear deeper under the surface ?

If you can move them - it's like a protective film for the screen has been left on...

...is it worth trying to prick it with a pin right in the lower left corner ? - dont do it if your not sure !! - just a thought (committed to text)

Yes the bubble moves but I don't think it's the protective coating because the installer peeled that off prior to installation.

As the two smaller bubbles dissapeared I'm hoping that the last one will too given a few days. Fingers crossed anyway !

Quite frankly, looks a bit dodge!

Never heard of bubbles on an actual backlit screen before.

FWIW, I'd be returning it for a refund or exchange.

I agree with aussietig if it doesn't have a plastic protective cover on the screen then it has a problem with the LCD display, if possible return it as faulty. I'm a little surprised that the installer didn't notice this and if such he should have advised you it had a problem rather than continuing with the install As far as the bluetooth issue I would suggest that the voice volume needs adjustment from within the unit settings.

I wonder what my chances are of the Lithuanian seller sending me another unit then paying the freight of the damaged one back ?? I shall ask and report back.

As for the Bluetooth there are no settings within the RNS 510 for it as it's not the Premium Bluetooth.

There is a setting for telephone volume, you'll find it under SETUP / VOLUME SETTINGS / TELEPHONE VOLUME. I don't know if this will help you or not but it might be worth a try

I don't have that option under SETUP :

Perhaps as my Bluetooth is different to yours ?
