Reverse Module " fault"

Guys.. if my reverse camera image is not working , should I not get a "fault" message or blank screen on my display?. This is my only reverse image display. I've been informed I have a highline reverse module. The Reverse Module seems 'ok" from the outside. Is there a way to test it. I took an independent VW Specialist and they indicated(without confidence) it was the module. They didn't specify how they tested it.

I don't see your picture, but I am guessing it's a blank image while in reverse.

That is what happens if the module is unplugged on the Highline setup.

If you want to confirm for yourself and have a multimeter, I would test power at the unit and see if the can bus connection has the correct resistance at the module.

sorry...hope this works. No blank screen, just this with no fault msgs. Same image when the module is out.

I suspect the RVC module has failed at some point, so it has been coded out in 10 PDC and 37 Navigation.

thanks... so the car / system will automatically code out after some time?
I'm still scetical about water ingress into the module, as it seems fine externally. I'm hoping its a loose connection somewhere?

No it won't do it by itself. Someone would have had to have done it.

Kamold.. if I was to replace the reverse module-with the exact same , would I need someone to 'reprogramme" or turn on the reverse camera ?
