My latest sound install for HitmanR32 (non vw)

Hi all finished putting all of Hitman's Sound gear in to his Daily Hack

Its not VW but he reckons it kicks his old R32s arse in handling

we reused his 5 Channel V12 Alpine his Dual Voice Coil 8" Subs

and we put some nice Cerwyn Vega 5 and 1/4 Components in the front door.. and disabled the rest of the speakers!
    &
Just to break the sound install monotony we decided to put the Amp and subs in the boot

Checking out What we had to work with and then commencing on the masking off in preparation for Glassing

    Making the Box Face...

Mounting the Face in to the Mould and Showing that we Sound deadened the inside of the box with Bostic sound deadning (Gave the box a perfect Seal)

Finally Sealing the box with a Polar Fleece Wrap and Resin and then Adding more Deadening in to the seams that were previously open and potentially pourus

    Carpeting the box

The Finished Product (Perhaps not the prettiest Install but Functional Easy to remove (Nut Serted Anchorpoint for the box) however the Best/Nicest sounding Dual 8" Sealed enclosure i have made to date and the best thing the car albeit 15 years old not one rattle when the sub is blasting away at full and no deadening used in the doors

We couldnt fit the Cerwyn Vega Tweeters in the stock location so we put them down in the kick panel area.. to lift the sound stage we play them out of phase to the Woofer.. system sound awesome...

nothing to complain about this install, looks neat and tidy, and most importantly, sounds good!

Holein1, yeah my presonal choice would not have been the lighter grey carpet.
But that is what he wanted, it does work well with the Amp board also wrapped in the same shade. I guess it also give the two tone on the Alpine amp more of a prescense.

Very nice, soon he might upgrade to a 10inch for extra long excursion ha. Bet it sounds nice and tight. Good to see the old V12 still alive and kicking.

At least it is only talk at this stage.... any reason for that?

Well the 2 8inchers together on the same plane in the right spot will have a nice bit of kick! You should try putting them in the front stage next
