I dunno, I reckon that cluster is HORN.
I had a flat black cluster for a long time in my old mk1's, after the factory silver wore away and got scratched. It was nice actually. And it definitely had a semi race look
Preeny - on the carbs - are you going to road tune it yourself (I mean with family help, etc) when the time comes?

Mine will be silver. It brightens things up a bit. I've got 3 or 4 of them, actually.
Yeah we'll be tuning the carbs. Don't really need someone else to. I am going to cheat a little and get an Innovate Motorsports A/F gauge though. The same one as Tim's.. Definitely worthwhile. If I can get the cruising tune up around 14:1, it'll be reasonably fuel efficient. Just have to play around with the air correctors and pump jets for that..![]()

But yes, 8K porsche tacho is horn.
I can't be assed looking for it. But there's a mini thread in the 8V section on Vortex, where a guy with a worked 8V scans the tacho backing-sticker and photoshops it to include up to 10K RPM, also playing with the tacho gearing so it'll actually move better too.
Looked 100% stock and 150% awesome.
8k Porsche tacko and 150 MPH speedo look great!!!!
