All Motion 4 Wheel Drive Gearbox Conversion

    Hi all,

Does anybody know how to convert a 4 wheel drive box back to two wheel?
My plan is to only use the drive shalf (diff)to the transfer case for rear wheel drive.

How do i mod the front wheel drive from spinning?
This set up is going in a beetle mid mount setup

    I'm assuming you're using a VR6-family engine?

Just use a Mk3 12v VR6 02A bellhousing (or complete box) and lose the AWD box altogether. Change to a 228mm clutch and flywheel setup and you're done.

Its the 24valve VR6 motor (bora)....Its hard to explain! Iam running a tube chassis...and want to mid mount the engine But cant get it back far enough to use the front drives of the box! ..so some how i need to plug them up and use the transfer case with a cut down tail shaft....

TBH, I think you have backed yourself into a corner! You either run a proper MR setup with a FWD gearbox or an FR layout and a traditional length propshaft!!!
