    Hold up!

If it's a VR6, then the stock BBS's are 15". Regardless of this, when you get new wheels, say 17", the overall diameter of the wheels with tyres does not change because the tyres would be smaller. The rolling diameter does not change, because if it did, then your speedo would be out of whack, and the car therefore illegal.

Interestingly enough, I found that I scraped less with the car lowered, because the front wouldn't sag as much when going up driveways at say 15km/h...

Even so, I have a lower Euro style front lip, and who cares if it scrapes, they're $80 and durable as hell!!!

To rid yourself of the problem, bigger wheels will do nothing. Either fix the driveway (get the council to put some asphalt in the gutter bit- should be free), put in stock suspension, or sell the car....

    Good luck in your voyage!

Don't they change that on your speedo?...somehow?...

surely all the guys driving hilux's and souped up rexxies with like 500" rims would need their speedo's to work around all those cops

The car's speedo sensor is straight off the diff...

To alter that, someone would need to measure the resistance of the sensor, and then install a inline resistor, and somehow manage to calibrate it all... Probably with a rolling road dyno...

    I don't think so!

Good luck running 17" wheels with 225/60R17 tyres...

    Thankyou, come again!

Wheels won't make a difference, the rolling diameter is roughly the same.

Even on stock bouncies, a VR6 is a lower car than a GL golf, and the sump is much lower, as well as the lip going lower if its got a VR lip.

You're really going to have to learn how to deal with the car being low, any sports car will be.

Sean the diamater would change when I had the Porsche wheels, they were 16s and overall with a 40 profile they were a tad smaller, with the 17s they will be a bigger diamater than the 15s.

But for a vr6 with lowness and this is also on Coilovers:

I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

Hey, if you're looking to sell your VR lip, I may been keen on buying it... depending on how scratched it is. My VR has a GL or CL lip which you could buy, it's in fairly good nick too
