MK3 Power window problem (not the usual one)

    Hi guys.

Recently, my power window regulator and motor housing went crunch. So I ordered a complete regulator and motor package off the internet, the problem was that only after it had arrived I realised on the motor, it didnt have the standard multi-pin plug that mine did, this new one only had the two + - pins and no module or anything. (this is the pic - inside the small black plug housing are the two pins)

heres the old one is here with the big multi-pin plug:

SO anyway, basically I don't really want to spend anymore money buying the proper replacement part if i can aviod it, and what I have done is this:

    - Chopped out the old module/plug unit from the broken motor
    - Soldered some wires to the + and - outputs of the old module, with plugs cimped on the other end which then plugged into the spade pins of the NEW motor.
    - plugged everything in, new window and regulator etc all installed to test it...

Now, when I operate the window up and down it all works fine - BUT! when I hold the switch on (up or down, does the same thing) the window moves for about a second then the relay/module 'TICKS' and it stops moving until you re-press the switch.

So I can get the windows up and down fine but I need to click the switch about 5 times to get the window fully up or fully down!

So I am stumped and couldn't find any info on the internet after hours of searching..

    Thanks guys!
