after googling i think it was a huntsman spider....it says they arent dangerous but i dont wanna test that out!!! lol do supermarkets sell these spider bombs? ive got to drive the car on monday!!!!

btw this is my second encounter of one of these spiders and my golfs, first one climbed across my car while it was parked and ended up in the rear hatch crack where the rubber sits. it was so hot but we didnt dare wind the windows down as we saw it climb right over the bonnet and on the rear passenger window lol.

Probably is, they won't bite you either, I tried...
If your really going to gas the car, just leave the car with doors, hood windows open etc in the sun in your yard the heat will make it move out. It wants to get out as much you, don't forget that.

The good thing that huntsman spiders do is they lay there eggs hidden away and then one day they hatch and you get hundreds of tiny little spiders everywhere. Just thought I would share the happy news.

Good idea. I'm being serious about the baby spiders by the way. It really does happen. It's happened at my place and my parents. Lots of fun with insect spray if that happens.

Not necessarily so, my ex wife was bitten by one and she reckoned it hurt like hell, I thought it was bad at the time but look back on it now with great satisfaction!

It could be the one you tried to provoke into biting was a different species, "Huntsman" is not a species as such but a generic term for a group of species.

I never spray them, catch them and toss them out.........but would probably sh*t myself if one appeared while I was driving!

    Cheers
