    HALP! couple of questions..

I've got a problem with my rear seats in my car. I took them out a few days ago and could only get one half back in. What happened was the thread that the allen key bolt screws into seems to completely popped out on one side, leaving a hole that is far to big for the bolt, with no thread, and obviously the bolt doesnt screw in. It seems to be hard to access the back of this area of the rear seat support frame thingo. Any ideas how I could secure that side of the seat?

Also my car seems to be using quite a bit of oil... when I changed the oil like 4000km ago I put in just under 6L which seemed to be about the right amount. Since then I have used roughly another litre on top of that... This is not good right?

My car probably uses that oil. Sump plug and sump gasket need to be done on mine, and I think rocker cover gasket too lol. Just keep it topped up if you can't fix it just yet..when you can though, find out where it's coming from (you will be able to see residue around the area) and fix whatever's leaking.

As for the seats...that's a really, really bad problem. You'll need to either a: re-tap the hole, with a BIGGER thread and use a bigger bolt (with the same larger thread obviously..) or somehow glue in the plastic thread that came out...

Well it turns out I managed to fix the seat. I was fiddling around behind the rear seat supporter and managed to find a nut that had fallen down inside the frame when I took the seats out. I found this strange because not one of the other allen key bolts seemed to screw into a nut, they all seemed to screw into a thread that was contained within the frame itself. I had to take out the abs controller thingo and then just held the nut while I screwed in the allen key bolt. Weird.

Another issue I will ask about now - seeing as I never post - is a coolant leak. It seems to be coming from the heater core hose that goes into the block. Not the one that leads to the throttle body, but the other one. I can see dried up pink coolant on the transmission right below where that hose connects to the block. Also there always seems to be water sitting on top of the transmission. Would this be as simple as buying a new heater hose? Or did I overlook something in there?
