    Annoying lights behind the dash

So my lights behind the dash are really dim on the left, so I can't really see the speedo properly at night, I basically have to squint at it (which probably isn't the safest thing to do), so I'm pretty sure that one of them must be out. I'm not sure how many lights there actually are but yeah. Firstly, is there a way to change the lights? (and are there any good guides to doing this?) and secondly, can you change the colour to something other than the crappy green? I mean white would be nice but if not maybe just a brighter blue or something.

    Cheers

You need to pop unscrew and remove the trim surround around the cluster, as well as the air vents either side most likely (makes it easier anyway), then unscrew the cluster, un plug it and pull it out. I think there are like 3-4 little globes that light it up, once you have the cluster out you will be able to see the globes on the back, they just unscrew and pop out.

The green colouring is from some sort of filter inside the cluster, the bulbs are just regular globes. So to change the colour you would have to somehow modify that, but it wouldn't match the rest of the interior lighting then!

not trying to insult your intelligence, but is the brightness knob turned up? I've been known to over look super simple things -.-

There are a few DIY's on putting in leds and such of whatever colour you like on the vortex.

edit: re-read it, if its only one side then yeah, somethings probably gone out

At the back of the cluster at the top there are two bulbs:

    See the holes here:

They are 2 x 2W bulbs (where the rest are 1.1W) that light up the speedo and tacho. It's common for people to use the 1.1W instead of the 2W bulbs which are then no where near as bright. You could hack it up and put in some LED's, something I was considering, but in the end I went the lazy way

My local Auto One had them last time I needed some (a while back now). And yes they are a all in one plastic clippy bulb thing.
