    Red face Intake Manifold Gasket

Why is the ring enlarged on the intake manifold gasket 026129717D for 8v engines compared to the earlier type ? Its now obscuring the bolt hole for the injector wiring mount support. Anyone had this before ?

Some of the heads have a vacuum connector there, which the bigger loop goes over.
Put your maniflod on, then cut the loop off if required.

If you bought an audi or seat later gasket, it would be different again.
They all fit to some degree. Just depends how recent the stock is at your parts place.
