    golf mk2 4door to 2door conversion

    As per title do you thing is possible or not? It looks like that 2door doors are longer and rear quarters are different . Length of the car look the same as well as the roof.2 door is my favourite golf of all time even have my mk1 with clipper kit from convertible to make it look more like a mk2. I have a mk2 jap import 4 door in great condition and it is the cleanest mk2 i have seen,must be something to do with being jap import. Usually there cars are super clean.I know there were some 2 door for sale 6-7k and i can import one but with performance upgrades in mind and paint and so on it may be a bit pricey.Also car cost me $1000+- and being the import i can get away with many thing as only updating the new shape, updating new engine numbers rather then full engineers reports etc... and the car is full injected witch is better start then being k-jet or carbie.
    If the 2doors are available and cheap as in Europe i would not even consider this option but as they are not why not explore it.Your opinions are appreciated.

    jeez dude, just import one... getting the doors, rear quarters b pillars etc, then the chopping, welding and engineering involved.... i severly doubt it would be worth it in the long run, the parts to do it and the shipping involved in getting them to aus would be pushin up near the cost of a 2 door on its own :/

    ps- jace forgot to mention money aswell.... 3 or 4 more times

    I'd say it is possible, but pointless as you'd need the entire rear structure from a 2 door car. Unless you are handy with a welder and are confident in your skills it wouldn't cost too much.
    See these builds for 2 door Vento/Bora see how much work it would be;

    So basically i wouldn't even consider it purely because you'd need a 2 door car to make a 4 door into a 2 door...

    There's at least two 2-door MK2's for sale in Australia already anyway!
