Some of you know I have had problems with my car being sluggish and not revving smoothly. Mat was right it was over fuelling.
I swapped the "performance" chip out and put in the original (properly this time so it worked).
The car now reves very smooth and is an awesome drive, pulls properly. Still slow though and digi-lag is noticeable, but a lot better to drive.
The problem i have now is the idle and jerky-ness in 1st and 2nd.
The idle goes up and down from about 850 to 1000 at 1sec intervals at normal temp.
I have done the following:
Adjust idle screw on TB
Check for vac leaks
Fiddle with C0 adjuster on MAF (i don’t have the c0 measuring device)
Re-set ecu, where u unplug the breather hose and temp sender and rev 3times past 3k rpm etc. It had a really hard time getting past 3k rpm without the breather hose attached.
Nothing really seems to help it.
I have to rev the car to about 3k on take off and keep it there till the clutch is in for the car no to jerk. The jerking is heavy if you try to take off normally and reves bounce up and down about 500rpm, the more gas you give it the harder it jerks. It sometimes happens in 2nd gear when i am slowing down below 2500rpm and want to move off again.
All a little jerk is noticeable on all down shifts with light throttle applied to keep speed.
I didn’t have these problems before removing the performance chip and putting in the stock one. Also with the standard chip there is a lot less engine braking.
Any ideas?
Is it just a matter of properly adjusting the C0 and idle screw?
