Lol... yea yea hahaha.
Mine deletes my Fk'ing calendar entries.... thank god my site is in the top 10 to transition to Outlook and not down at site #216.... I feel sorry for them.
Guys, if you use Lotus Notes at your work, tell your administrator to grab a copy of Defrag.NSF and run it on your Domino server for a chance to win an iPod nano (or two).
P.S. Tell them if their entry wins, they get the free Defrag license and you get the iPod nano.

Jeez, thanks Ben.
If your calendar entries are being deleted then something is not set up correctly, either locally or on the server. What version of Notes are they running there?
Cheers,
Snowy.

Ive been using Notes for quite a few years, who else uses it? I wonder what percentage maket share they have?
The only advantage Ive seen so far is that virus writers focus on MSN products and cant be stuffed writing viruses for Notes![]()
2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters
A lot of larger organisations use Notes, Government Departments, Law Enforcement/Police, etc.
For instance, one Government Department in Australia has 500 Domino mail servers and 30,000 daily Notes users, and that's just one. There's no doubt the security model is robust.
Snowy.
What version of Notes are you guys actually running?
After reading the above posts I thought I debunk some of the myths, there's more advantages than that by far. If your Notes email doesn't look like the screenshots below then you are running an outdated version.
For example, you don't even need to leave your email client to use the inbuilt applications below:
Sametime Instant Messaging with online awareness of your mates.
Widgets
Document Editor:
Presentation Editor:
Calendar:
Spreadsheet Editor:

Oh god Lotus Notes.
It still gives me nightmares, years after we've gone soley to exchange.
OK thanks for the negative input guys.
I was trying to give people on the forum a heads up on a competition we are running to win a couple of iPods and didn't need the thread to turn into a Notes Bashing session.
I just thought some fellow VWWC guys might enter if they used Notes at work, that's all!
If you're not interested, you're not interested, fair enough, but do you really need to trash someones product, when it's quite obvious a fellow forum member (me) has a related business interest?
Like I said, we have a couple of iPods up for grabs, I'd love it if a forum member won one of them (or both).
Thanks,
Snowy.
