Yeah actually I quite like these ones 1i 16x7.....

I noticed the ET is 40. Since that's a higher possitive number than factory, that means the wheel will sit into the wheel arch more right??? Do you reckon it will sit in too far? Are wheel spacers themselves illegal to use or is it just the stud patten converting spacers that are illegal?

all spacers are illegal... but not really dangerous like the converter spacers
im pretty sure there will be no problem in touching anything but
if you get 5 or 8mm spacers all round it will be fine

It looks like the decision may have been made for me....I was just sandwiched in a car accident and I think the car may be a write off

Appologies for the delay in posting fellas, the internet is playing up over at my place. Yeah I'm fine, just a little whiplash. Insurance co phoned today and confirmed it's written off.

Accident wasn't my fault. Some bonehead didn't notice everyone stopping at the lights and ploughed into the back of me at about 60 or 70kph!

Now I guess I'll be shopping for another car.....

the mounting face will sit in further if theyre the same width. But theyre wider than your stock rims

Say the rim is an extra 1 inch wider. Thats 25.4mm. If you halve that. Thats how much futher out the rim will poke on each side of the mounting face. Then you adjust for the difference in offset.
