Exhaust pressure sensor (the one to do with the DPF)

In the link you provided the part does look slightly different to mine, but the one that was replaced on my friend's Touareg looks identical to the one on my car. I will have a closer look at the Touareg's one to see if it has the same number as mine, if it does I suppose it could mean that the part on my car is faulty.

Alex you have a totally different part number to the Golf's. Plus the new one I had to buy yesterday is made in bloody Malaysia, at least you have a German part - even if it is "far south" Germany......$108.08 full strength, $88 trade, $78 cost price from looking over the guys shoulder yesterday, and I had to cough up full price!

Geez, that price makes me cringe for such a small component, even if its job is important! Well, yes I do prefer German made things but if the Malaysian part works better than the German part, well I'd prefer the Malaysian one

It does control the lifespan of a $3000 part - the flippin DPF!

I'm on my third one, so $200 down now....but I *did* break the last one...
