with the rattle near the glovebox if you take the manual out it magically disappears, must be something to do with the weight of it or rubbing against something. I agree with the comment on the wipers seem to take to long to speed up and then slow down.

Tip - rear fog on drivers RHS (where you expect the 2nd reverse light) which is red is activated by turnign the headlight switch around the right and pulling it out.

who has taken up the extended warranty - I did.

I think it's exactly that. After having 3 new Subaru's over the last 9 years there's no way i could have ever considered going to a 2WD car. That being the case VW offer a good all road package when you consider the price. The 4motion is definitely something which was key to my purchase.

Also ex-Subaru driver, camer from a 07 Lib GTB and really did not think I could ever go back to a FWD however made the switch and really have no complaints. Also thinking now that I could never buy anything other than a diesel...
