I've been recently experiencing problems with the closure locks for the hatch cover of the emergency triangle housing located within the tailgate of my Passat.
The hatch cover is fasten closed with two dial switches that turn through 90 degrees either locking or unlocking the door to the emergency triangle.
The problem I have is.... The inner part of the locking mechanisms usually clips to the outer part with some small clips through the hatch cover, but these clips have been damaged and no longer work as they should so the inner part becomes disconnected from the outer and falls appart leaving the hatch to either rattle or in the worst case open as the closure mechanism then fails to keep the hatched closed.
both inner and outer parts work their way loose with the constant opening and closing of the tailgate and have fallen out onto the road on a couple of occasions, so I'd like to fix this quickly before the bits go AWOL.
I hope my description makes sense....if not please let me know if further clarification is required.
Has ayone else experienced this? Is anyone aware of some spare parts that I might use to fix this?

I've fixed it by gluing the broken part of the clip back on the dial switch. it's like new again.
