Interested to see some dyno figures as getting my 162 at the end of the month and want to do the stage 1 tune after 5000km.

So the 132 is quite a different engine than the Golf GTI engine used in the Tiguan 162 (i.e. while still in the same family (EA888 Gen 3), it is more than just a detuned version, as it has significant changes around camshafts, valves, chain drive, turbo, injectors, cylinder crown, piston head etc etc).
    Great first post Tons!

I've been told that the reason for VW Aust releasing the Adventure last year was they couldn't get the engines for the 162TSI Highline allocated to our market - which wouldn't have been an issue if it was just a differently tuned 132TSI.

If they want to improve the fuel efficiency in Aust, ditch the auto start/stop feature (not suited to keeping A/C's running in our hot weather) and take a leaf from the 110TSI and drop pots 2&3. I vaguely recall from years ago that some Aussie v8's dropped 4 cylinders when cruising!

I am puzzled how that is going to improve fuel economy.

You're missing the rest of my quote where I suggested an alternate option to improve fuel economy when stopped:
    1) auto start/stop (I'd expect most people will disable to keep the A/C running, hence no increase in fuel economy)
    2) not supplying fuel to 2 of the 4 cylinders as per the Trendline (expect the biggest load on the engine when stopped would be the A/C unit)

The AC in my car has no operational problems in hot weather with stop/go activated. if the weather is very hot or the battery voltage drops too low the stop/go is either not activated or the car re-starts as needed.

I love it and would never disable it. How can you say you hate it when you by admission never used it for any time at all. It puzzles me that people who have never used it also hate it which seems to be a bit strange are they clairvoyant or something?

Possibly due to experience on other cars?

I've driven enough cars with stop/start that I know that if I ever got a car with this "feature", I'd disable it fairly quickly.
