    Here is the UK brochure.
    https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/assets/...e-brochure.pdf

    ...and the NZ brochure.
    https://www.volkswagen.co.nz/media/4...space-my18.pdf

They both get a DSG... so my guess is we’ll get one in Oz too.
No idea why North American market gets an old slush box torque converter... perhaps the risk of Class Actions in the US is a deterrent for DSG...

As far as the back seats go, think kids only. I assume there will be 4 places for child’s car seat - 2 in the middle row and 2 in the back row with tether points. For me, chances are the back row will be folded up once in a blue moon when the Grandparents come to visit and we all go out for Sunday brunch - 4 adults, 2 kids. The rest of the time, it’ll be folded flat with a boot liner, pile of pushchairs and scooters on top

I believe the Allspace that we will be getting is RHD version from the factory in Germany.

From other sources such as autogefuhl, the Allspace is to be made in Mexico- Puebla, for export to some euro markets.

according to rvcs, the proposed VINS registered for each model/engine, indicate the Puebla plant

    eg: Road Vehicle Descriptor (RVD1)

vin guide: VW VIN Codes - Club VeeDub

In short, letter M, digit 11 is Puebla.

also the US market is different to Europe, and aus/nz. take US drivetrains as a grain of salt for comparison

btw I do wish it came from Germany as I'd be more inclined to buy. Mexico doesn't have the high level of quality control Germany does

Good work. The typical VIN for the Allspace WVGZZZ5NZ#M123456 as per RVCS site is definitely indicating that these cars will be built in Mexico plant. If it was Wolfsburg it would have a W (which is where the standard Tiguan we get is built).

I was watching a review video on the Tiguan (not allspace) from an amateur USA youtuber.

He noted and showed the viewers the armrest has no position-adjusting ratchet system. I nearly was considering not buying a Tiguan until I realised the Australian version does. I alway use my armrests, main reason we got a comfortline Polo.

Be interesting to know what other differences the USA one has.

Dropped in and chatted with the gent I purchased my Tig from during the 1st service and was able to get a bit of info on the Allspace.

As others have said it's in either Comfortline or Highline guise, all current Tig engines available the sound and vision pack includes DynAudio

R-line can be added to any of the colours, there was 6 from memory including a new white which he demo'd on a Golf R, blue which was called blue silk and grey which was different to the Indium. This is on top of the current black, red and pure white.

They're getting training on the models in May or June from memory and may start seeing them in late July, but he wasn't to sure?

They're able to take orders for them now.

We're actually considering one as I love my Tig and the wife does as well, the 7 seats is perfect for us as it'd be replacing a Pathfinder which is big and cumbersome, we want something more agile and the occasional 7 seat use is a bonus. Plus she's familiar and likes all the tech and the smaller size.

The included features are a lot more than my MY17, including the elusive TJA and not sure if the 17.5 has it but Dynamic lights were on the lists I saw, there was also a Rechargable torch in the boot. Foldable mirrors our now on the highline as std

The packs composition are vastly different, eg sound and vision is 3D cameras, AID and Dynaudio. The others to add to a Highline are Sunroof and R-line and that's it. So seems to have much more included as std.

I asked him where they being made and he was fairly certain Germany but was going to check and get back to me. He was surprised when I asked if it was Mexico.

Anyway he's going to feed some more info when he can share it.

So the Allspace is 100% definitely being made in Mexico. The first vehicles are arriving in late July. Have decided to put my hard earned down on one for the wife, subject to viewing, price, test drive etc. So will give it a good look over when it arrives. Went for the Highline 162TSI, silk blue and the sound and vision pack which is 360 degree camera, Dynaudio and a few other things that escape me. Will find out when it'll be built ship etc in the coming weeks, expecting to receive it in the July-Sept time frame. Whilst the dealers can take orders, they're not available in the system just yet, so no pricing. Bit of a leap, but happy with the contract clauses.

    So we'll be a 2 x Tig family.

What auto trans is it going to have, all the domestic US cars are not using a DSG instead it is a Asian 8 speed with torque converter.

Smart clauses to add to the order.
