Price increase of £40 for all models
New paint colour: crimson red metallic paint (£1,000)
Removal of chrome trim for air vents front and rear
New brake light housing in black (see diagram A)
Manual headlight range adjustment now accessible through the MIB system (diagram B)
Discontinued: deactivation button for interior monitoring in the b-pillar – now accessible through the MIB system (see diagram C)
Change to roof rail bases from silver to black for SE/SE Nav/R-Line and SEL
Removal of headlight washers as standard specification for SEL and R-Line trims
Addition of optional headlight washers for all trims (£175)
SE Nav, SEL and R-Line trims now get media control as standard

I enquired about the car through car sales website and got a call this morning from one of the salesman.
I asked about the price and the response was that the Dealer Principal said that the price is to be jacked up because of shortage of cars, the salesman also said that it (extra cost) would be put down (on contract) as dealer delivery cost.

Is this even legal?

I am about to contact VW AUS tomorrow morning and ask the question.

I think you will find it is legal to ask as much as they want. Be it over the manufacturer suggested retail price or not.

It is the buyer that has the last say.

If you feel the price is outrageous then don't buy it.

You can offer a more realistic price and walk away. If no one is willing to pay more than you, then you get the car at the price you are happy with. If someone is prepared to over pay then that is their issue. You just continue shopping.

from my point of view, they can keep the car. If some poor sucker is willing to pay more then retail then good luck to him/her.

I always keep looking at VW. Don't get me wrong, BMW is a great car but I tend to get bored very quickly. I was going to get an M3 but we're looking at expanding our family so M3 is out. We have been looking at an X5 but my wife thinks its way too big.
That brings me back to Tiggy, its bigger then last one and it would suit us just fine.

Yes 2 door cars and kids seats get a real pain real quick.

The new Tiguan is a good size and right height for putting kids in and out of.

Just make sure you get a black one as my wife would like a black one next time
