I hope you're right.
Curiously I notice the screen I annoyingly get on mine is a page full of text whereas you seem to only get a couple of lines. Strange.

Gillant: How do I get the message in your pic to appear on my car? Seriously, I've had my mk7 golf for almost two years and the screen in your picture has never appeared on my car!
The only thing that comes close to your pic is the "nag-screen" that tells me to not to take any notice of the information that is displayed on the SATNAV. But I notice that you have the media screen open behind the message on your car.
Yes the "nag-screen" is really annoying, I too have never seen that message you speak off Gillant.
I'm still unable to get the windows to close when it rains... this is the only tweak to not work so far.
I have a feeling the "nag-screen" is one of the long code bytes that does not have details in VCDS like changing the logos on start up don't have details as pictured here -

Is there any country that does not require this annoying screen to appear, if so then maybe cross referencing the 5F controller on a car from here with ours and see whats not-selected or selected?
I get the long one, too — if I read it right through I'd probably have been up the bum of a tram long ago.
Passengers keep pointing it out to me as some sort of joke — it's probably meant to cover VW's backside in some way or other.
Frequently I don't see it on a short trip until I've parked the car, so mostly it's just another nuisance.
The dealer says it's not removable — I don't believe him...
I just tested the logo change option in the long coding of 5F controller and every time I applied a change the nag screen appeared, I can not be arrssed sitting there deselecting the options listed and testing each one until it does not appear tonight but I may play with this another time.
I did find some long coding changes on a Leon that may help with my rain close issue. Can someone with this tweak working share the long code of RLS sensor, I would like to know if the Byte 0 / Bit 1 and Bit 2 are enabled?
GolfVII: any further information about this hard-to-get-working tweak would be greatly appreciated! Here's the screen shot for the RLS/RLFS/RLHS (yes, both bits are enabled )

PS: what's the logo change? Are you referring to changing Byte 18?
Duh I feel silly now, I should have looked at the other links in the reference thread, I was only following Post #48 - Point 3
I can tell you these are not enabled on mine, I will do this tomorrow and give it a go again.
I wish I could give you kudos on here DV52 because you always come up with the answers :cool46:
^^^^ no kudos needed, I just hope that you can get it to work- Good luck
This message appears every second time I start my car. I also get the nag screen for the sat nav when I use it but this one comes up no matter what screen the infotainment system is on. I recon it used to come up less frequently when I first purchased the car but it really annoys me. my car is a MY14 GTI so not sure if that makes any diff.
Gilant: As I said, never seen it before on my car! Have you done an admap on your control modules? If you have and you want to pursue the matter, put the admap files somewhere where I can download them and I'll compare the settings in your adaptation channels to those in my car. No guarantee that I will find anytheng, and I'm not sure exactly where to look, but there are a few likley places (i.e. 09-BCM, 17 Instruments, 19-CAN Gateway or 5F- Cent. Elect.).
