I just gave your suggestions a shot and I still can't get it working :s
I also tried the outer tail settings on the inner tail settings and couldn't get it to work

anyone know if you can turn on DAB on a Golf Mk7? I can see the setting in VCDS though is hardware needed as well? Will it work in Australia?

If you don't have a dab tuner you can't just enable it with software.
You need to have a discover Pro with DAB. If it's not active from factory you don't have a dab tuner.

Hey all - can anybody tell me the difference between these adaptations?

I've got both of mine set to Version 3 (to get what I think are the Golf R dials). Is it necessary to change both? The reason I ask is I noticed if I just change one of them to a different version - it changes the dials. But following some VCDS settings/instructions form these forums, it said to change both. I'm just wondering why, and what the difference is between them.

Tube version is the instruments (GTI, R instruments) while display depiction is the graphics between the instruments (eg bouncing balls)

Tube version is the different dials (couple of standard, gti and r)
display depiction is the different design in the centre between the dials (if standard clocks you can have a carbon fibre background, if AID then you get a bouncy ball background)
