    Non-responsive radio touchscreen buttons

The radio touchscreen buttons are unresponsive which is annoying as you can't select a specific radio station. Sometimes the steering wheel controls can make those changes but it'll take a number of presses to get there depending on where the station is in the list view.
The radio stations are guaranteed to work when pressed while the screen is in the list view.

Has anyone else had this issue? I've got my car booked in 2 weeks for the service department to have a look, I'm hoping they can activate TP for me while they're there. Officially I've been informed by the dealer/customer service care that TP is not a feature available in Australia. I've forwarded them pictures and links to those who have demonstrated it is able to be activated so hopefully they'll get back to me soon with good news.

veew: Had exactly the same issue when I first got my mkVII Golf. In my case it seems to happen only for certain stations. These were the non-commercial stations like ABC 2RRR etc. The butons seemed to work OK if I was switching between commercial stations. Anyhow, the dealer seemed to know all about the problem and the fix (which was a software patch as I recall)
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

That sounds great, hopefully my service centre is aware of the issue as well.

Have replaced one on a car. Usually was occurring after driving for awhile and would be ok after restarting most time, needed a new screen.

I took the car to the service centre, they updated the software and got the radio touch screens working as expected. In the settings screen they had disabled RDS and TP, on activating both those features the radio buttons stopped working properly again. They told me TP was not a feature for the Australian market so I've turned off TP for now which has returned the radio button function back to normal. I'll let you guys know if I hear from customer care with good news, but as always, don't hold your breath.
