Thanks for clearing that up, much appreciated. There can be a fair bit of confusion talking about the two different systems.

Mine was factory enabled - i didn't do any TJA related coding.
TJA will activate on mine, similar to wat Kevlarman said, without having to reach that illusive 65km/h, as long as it can detect lane markings.
for example, i've come to a stop in traffic. i activate ACC and set it to 40 cause school zone. if is spots lane markings, it will turn green even before i've moved. then tap the accelerator or press RES to move off when its time.

I just went out for a drive in my car and it is as I have said, the ALG does not work under 65kph and the two lines go orange under that speed. My manual actually says 60kph, can someone read their manual and see what it says? TIA.

Maybe factory-fitted TJA is different from the aftermarket TJA you can get here? Maybe different parameter sets or something.

I'll go for a drive tonight/tomorrow and confirm some things.

Well, its a good day when you learn something. I just went for another drive and found a few things, if the ACC is not set the two green lines (ALG indicators) appear at 65kph when accelerating and disappear at 60 when slowing down, that bit is not in the book. Then I tried the trick of setting the ACC while stopped and that worked as well with the two indicator lines going green before moving off, that isn't in the book as well. The 67kph activation was something I read here and because the ALG on its own did not activate until then I presumed that the vehicle had to exceed it. The other reason was we had no experience with TJA and went from what I was told from other sources as well and the vehicle owner's manual is as useful as an ashtray on a motor bike.

Good to see u learnt something new.

my manual explicitly states 65km/h. I've been saying this for a while, and about the TJA behaviour from actual daily use, in various discussions - but me coming from the Skoda stable, no one takes note!!

It's not that no one takes notice it is that most tend to only view the model forum they have an interest in. Note the difference between accelerating and slowing down.
