    The looks are very tame and don't give much away about the power it has under the bonnet.

    I wonder if the cup holder can be fitted into the MK6

    I wouldn't be surprised if there already is a mk6 cup holder for the american market. Yanks love their cup holders!

    i think it looks boring as bat**** to be honest....MK6 Golf R looks a lot more aggressive...Even the MK5 shape is better than this IMO....

    true, perhaps it may look different in the flesh...(which I do hope) but overall i dont think it looks anywhere near as aggressive as the MK6....photos or in reality...

    I agree with you Stephen - the Mk6 looks better/tougher IMO.

    Without the Pro nav system the interior just isn't a big enough step up from the Highline for me, especially compared to the S3 interior (which also has that tempting B&O option)

    I saw that blue one on the Harbour Bridge this morning - it did look fantastic in the flesh.

    Agree with the sentiments.. Have seen the mk7 golfs on the road and they appear very small... Some angles still look good, much like the new wrx/sti. Hope they price the r sensibly...

    Yeah what he said. It really just looks like a GTI on the outside whereas previous R models you could spot a mile away from the outside.
