Hi All,
In the market for my first GTI (Polo or Golf) yet to be decided until I test drive both back to back.
If I'll go with the Golf, I'll probably get the base model in DSG with DAP. I was wondering what is considered a good price for a brand new one these day? is 40-41K DA doable? or am I dreaming?
Personally i would wait for the my 19 lots of good updates to the gti
Yeah. I kinda wish I waited for the extra power, better brakes and diff + 7 spd, but to be honest the one I have now is more than enough for me and I got a loaded GTI for $10-15k less than a Wolfie. (Only way to get DynAudio in an R at the time)
But mine is P plate legal in most if not all states, so that might come in handy in a few years when it's time to sell. ;)
Hi all
Looking at picking up a 7.5 gti with all options in the next few months. How much should I be looking at. I've seen some fully option with less than 8000km on the clock for 40k.
Would 45k be too optimistic or likely given the new MY19 is just around the corner?
That might be a touch ambitious. I'd stab at $47-47.5k being the on road benchmark fully loaded as a manual these days - but it's worth a crack.
If there are new MY18 cars still on the lot they'll want to shift those, but there should be MY19s already around?
Discounts might be running higher on GTIs now given the added competition in the market, plus a lot of people will probably look to jump to a R Grid - leaving a loaded GTI floating a bit in no man's land without discounting.
Hmmmm ok. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a second hand one. Or a dealer demo.
Has anyone placed an order recently? What are people's rough waiting times?
