Yeah, the original movie, Downfall, is absolutely brilliant. Spine tingling tension! Incredible acting. And the many uses of the film have been hilarious!

The GTI PP is a couple of weeks old and just covered over 500km.
Some little issues that have arisen.
In Normal mode, DSG gets into 5th gear at less than 50kph, so the car then labours along, then when you accelerate, sounds like diesel..
Over the weekend I have discovered that the Mk6 wastegate rattle affects the Mk7 too - presume the solution is the attachment of the clip.
Today the most annoying 'rattle' has raised itself. When the car is accelerating during normal driving (in normal mode) there is a buzz which sounds like a Geiger counter when around 2000rpm-3000rpm from behind the instrument display. Overseas forums reckon it could be a loose soundkator? Anyone experienced it?
So went to the dealer today, booked in for both vibrations, fortunately the VW tech was able to hear the noises ( the second one will be a challenge - VW will only pay for rattles/vibrations under warranty if the car has covered less than 1000km....so if you find any, book it in before you get to 1000km.
I have the same rattle in my mk7 GTI with 1400km on the clock. Do you have any updates from your dealer visit?
I'm sorry VW but a warranty is a warranty and they better not have told you that they will only fix rattles if it's done less than 1000kms. That's an absolute load of BS. It has a 3 year unlimited km warranty. Call customer assistance if they try that again. They have a legal obligation to fix things like that for 3 years.

They fix rattles under warranty, just have to find the right dealer.
Thanks all, I'll check with VW aust re warranty on rattles. I re-read the warranty and does not mention any conditions on rattles. Being in Adelaide we have Solitaire for VW etc. Previously I dealt with the dedicated Audi guys who are on the other side of the counter and they were fantastic, so will be interesting to see what VW are like to deal with...
Capkapak, I'm booked in early August, so won't have any feedback until then. Went for a quick drive tonight and heard it again, then stopped. Sure it will be back again. The forums talk about a loose soundaktor....?
In the hopes this may help someone, we had a rattle in our Mk7 GTI that was coming from the dash at exactly 2300-2500 RPM (appeared at around 1800km). A Geiger counter would be a good description of the noise. We took it to our local dealer who had a go at fixing (and were not successful as they prob spent about 5 minutes and did not test much). We then took it to the dealer where we purchased the car and they diagnosed it and seemingly fixed it (haven't heard it since). Apparently one of the clips/brackets that holds one of the lines (I think it was fuel) behind dash was broken and they replaced it.
