Ghosts Exist! (Parking Sensor False Readings)

    Irrevocable proof that ghosts exist!

I was sitting in my car this morning on Botany Road, first car at the lights so nothing in front of me. Out of nowhere, my front left parking sensor starts beeping, showing something close to my front bumper. I looked out and there was nothing. Slowly, the "thing" kept getting closer (the sensor showed something coming closer like i was moving towards a wall) and closer until it was apparently right next to my car (sensor blaring on red). Then the sensor showed the thing moving away pretty quickly.

Of course I don't believe it was a ghost, just the sensor picking a bit of trash on the road or something up, but it was pretty bizarre and freaked me out a little at the time

I vote it was the chicken crossing the road... too low to see over the bonnet but he had to get to the other side, right?

No ghosts, but a kind of handy feature - the genius council who redid the kerb and driveway exiting my carpark at work created such a dip that as my car approaches the lowest point I actually get a front beep warning me I might hit something. It's actually picking up the rise of the road on the other side of the dip. Probably a good indication I won't be lowering this time around.

Still doesn't answer the question why the chicken was crossing the road!

Yeah, I get really paranoid with dips in the roads especially when coming off driveways or carparks...they make the sensor go off like crazy. Nowadays I just drive really slow.

Wise idea - the same idiot council left their roadworks unmarked, in the dark, with a hole when they were re-doing the drive described above. Needless to say my Mk6 GTI (lowered) lost when it met the hole, to the point where the car could not go forward - the depth is per the highest scratches. Of course the council blamed the workers, the workers blamed their boss.. and their boss was nowhere to be found. Too scared to show up on site anyway. The council changed contractors after that.

understandable for a moving vehicle but in my case my car was stopped at the light when it happens ... ... faulty sensor. Have the car for 9 months now and only happened once.
