thanks for all the kind comments, i used to have a mk1 gti (mock) and ive always loved them unfortunatly it got written off, one day ill do a mk1 1.8t tho.

hubs are standard, bought the wheels from tempe tires in sydney, i looked at converting to 5stud using audi 200turbo brakes but apparently they weigh a ton and its just not worth it for the tiny improvement you get.
I made the call to tempe and they said dont worry all they need is model and year (bit worrying) but $1500 and a couple of days later they arrive from sydney and fit great, dont rub a single bit, ive even had the back 2inches lower and they still didnt rub, but i raised it coz it was a real ruff ride, not bump absortion anymore, im looking at moddifying the rear shock brakets to get it 2inches lower without comprimising ride quality. Atm it still rides quite good, ive drivin stock ones and mine and i would still prefer mine because it handles tighter for a little bit of a stiffer ride.

i bought 30mm lowered springs all round, some german brand forget what. I then took my old springs and got the rears recoiled 2inches smaller, so its 30mm in the front 2inch in the back. new eibach shocks in the front, same old shocks in the rear
