Do all Mk5's have brake pad wear sensors?

Just curious if my GT Sports TDi has brake pad wear sensors? I'm looking to buy some pads from overseas and they only list pads for a GTi and sell all of them with the connection for the wear sensors. Since the GT's have the same brakes at the Gti's I assume they will work. If I do have a sensor how do they work? Do I get a message on screen telling me when they are worn?

If so should I just wait till i get the message first before replacing the pads?

Pretty sure all MkV's had the pad wear sensors.
The circuit looks for continuity within the sensor mounted in the pad. When the pad is worn the disc will remove the end of the sensor and open the circuit. The light will come on the dash to tell you that they are worn. some people will change the pads at this point but i know people who have got another 12 months life out of the pads before changing. This obviously depends upon your driving situation etc and they checked them often to make sure they were still ok.
Just curious why you would change them if they dont need it? are you changing the pad material etc?

Yes I hate the factory pads, they squeak like hell and give off way too much brake dust. I want to go to some Ceramics.
