FWIW anyone in Adelaide wanting things turned on via VCDS I'm happy to help.

I might take you up on that.. I am tempted to get the VCDS myself as between myself and my extended family there are 5 VAG cars, but wasn't sure how much experimentation is required to get stuff working.
