    Can you go to another dealer? If your after auto then there are quite a few auto Octavias about. Enquire at another dealer and see how you go. If you do end up cancelling, call Skoda and tell them it's a cancelled order so they take it off the dealer (and they don't keep the ghost order, adding further delay to others).

    I got an email this morning from Skoda saying the majority of cars are undercover, with very few affected. They are auditing all cars for damage and will let me know tomorrow if mine is damaged or not..... I REALLY hope it's not damaged and they release it to GCS, so I can get it sometime next week (this delay means no chance this week). That's my ideal goal. If its toast, then I guess we will have to work from there. Wife will not wait for another, she is at the point of rip contract up and just buy something.....

    So tomorrow is d-day......

    No call. I emailed and called and left messages twice, but Skoda didn't bother returning calls or email. Not a good sign.....

    No. If anyone had them I'm more than happy to call and express my concerns to him. Of I need to call them today (I.e they don't call me) then I'm escalating it to his manager. The service level is disgraceful. My request is not unreasonable, he said mid week, and on Tuesday said 'tomorrow'. I called at 2pm Syd time and left a message. I emailed at 3pm, and called again at 4:30 with none of the calls or emails returned. Even if he flicked an email saying 'still waiting for audit' I would have been appeased, but to completely ignore me is just terrible service. I'll give them till 2pm Sydney time to contact me, and then I'm kicking arse and taking names. This is ****.

    Is that just customer service - it's in the white pages as the # for the HO at Botany.

    Also, Woofy has contacted Skoda CZ and received a response quicker than Skoda Australia

    Linda Streeter was the marketing person in 2009. Her email was Linda dot Streeter at skoda dot com dot au

    Assuming they use a standardised email format then the MD Michael Irmer should be Michael dot Irmer at skoda dot com dot au

    As an aside, VWAG are advertising for a Retail & Digital Manager for Skoda. I assume whover had the job got jack of it & moved upwards / sideways. It's interesting that Skoda Australia no longer appears to be a seperate arm of VWAG and VWAG is overtly running the show now.

    I think the storm has overloaded the available resources. It affected the whole of Patrick's yard so goodness knows how many manufacturers/cars are potentially affected or if the protector nets were designed for 1 in 35 year events like that.
    As you quite rightly point out, the mistake is not to be completely honest with the customer from the outset.
    The placatory promises given to you were obviously hopeful, not realistic.
    Your purchase reads like an attempt on Everest, including battles with bureaucracy, porters, weather and now you have the last 50 metres to the summit to go, without oxygen.
    Hope it gets resolved soon, it is difficult typing with my finger crossed for you.
